or needle-like crystals, and has a bit of benzoic or benzyl aldehyde flavour. This product, which begins to sublimate at 100, is hard to dissolve in water but dissolvable in boiling water, alcohol, chloroform and ether, and steady in the air.

Usages: this product is used as antiseptic and antimicroorganism in medical and food industries; besides it is used as plasticizer in organic chemical industries.
